Over the last few months there has been a massive decline in donations to Good Company.

There has also been SEVERAL long-time subscribers dropping their monthly subscriptions.

This has created a financial situation that requires either a call for DONATIONS and SUBSCRIBERS in an urgent manner, or dropping LSE Servers 2, 4 and 5.

Here's an accounting of the current scenario:

Leased Servers: (3)
- 1 for the website, forums, TeamSpeak and ForeSight (MoH anti-cheat)
- 1 for LSE Servers 1 and 7
- 1 for LSE Servers 2, 4 and 5

Cost per server: $129/month

Monthly Cost: $387

Donations from April 1 through June 30: $715

Average donations per month: $238

I have been covering about $150/month for quite some time now, and am in fact a whole month behind on the Leased Server bill from Peer1.

I have been okay with an out-of-pocket cost of $75 to $100 to keep this place running, but it is starting to hurt financially.

For ease of mind, I'd really like to see some new subscribers step up to the plate, and also a nice influx of donations to show me people still care to keep things running smoothly here at Good Company.

Several months ago, I spent about 40 to 60 hours of my own time to upgrade to these new servers to make things faster and more efficient both on the website and on the LSE servers, and I negotiated the same rates as the old servers. Please show your sign of support with a small donation.

In regards to donations, and how you will be recognized - my plan is to re-vamp the existing process of putting buttons next to your name on the forums.  I will be keeping the "I Donated" and "Subscriber" buttons, as I feel they are very important to recognize those that have donated at one time, and MORE IMPORTANTLY the existing subscribers to this community.  I will, however, be removing the "Recently Donated" buttons.  In their place, I plan on having a "box" on the main website that shows a list of current subscribers, and a list of recent donations.

I just paid the June server bill of $387.  Of that, $180 was from donations in the PayPal account, and $207 out of my pocket.

The July server bill of $387 is now overdue, and there is a balance in PayPal of $6

The August server bill of $387 will be due on 8/9.

With all that said, PLEASE, do your part, and go to the DONATION PAGE today, and help Good Company out!!!!

Obviously with me being only 16 I can't donate, but me and Scar do try and donate $20-$30 every now and then to help, obviously it's hard due to the recession and all that at the moment. Maybe it would help if the 'donation's needed' meter on the front page was updated aswell? Wink

Sent every month like clockwork. I wish I could do more but if everyone gave a couple of dollars a month it would be great and it would take the load off of you. We all enjoy the servers and it is not a lot to ask for a couple of bucks now and again.
